Firstly, the front facade looks considerably fresh compared to the US pickup, but it still has the same attractive grille and LED headlights. According to Chevrolet, the most visual changes are on the interior. Hence, more quality materials are expected and a lot of new technology.
2022 Chevy S10 Exterior
The 2022 Chevy S10 is an all-new mid-size pickup truck that looks more striking than the US version – Colorado. Nevertheless, compared to its forerunner, changes are not significant, so slight refreshments are present this time. Like before, there will be offered three body configurations that consist of single cab, double cab, and chassis cab versions.
For this version, the front fascia will be slightly revised. The S10 will be wearing an almost identical black grille as the US Colorado pickup. It is very interesting that the large CHEVROLET lettering will be positioned up front, as well as the more modern headlights. In general, more black accents will be used this time around fog lights, on the wheels, and on the roof racks.
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the upcoming 2022 Chevy S10 will look modern as well and it will be getting more high-tech features. 2022 Chevy S10 Powertrain Specs
The powertrain lineup of the new 2022 Chevrolet S10 won’t have any modification at all. This model of the pickup truck will keep the same two engine options. The base will include a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with 206 hp, while optional will remain a 2.8-liter diesel engine with 200 hp.
Furthermore, many reports indicate that for the first time, a new 3.6-liter V6 will be introduced. This is one of the most powerful engines in the Chevy line of models, and it develops 310 horsepower. Instead, it could also be introduced a new 10-speed automatic transmission as well.
Release Date and Price
The release of the newest 2022 Chevy S10 will happen most likely this year. As already mentioned, the new pickup truck will be presented in five trim levels, two engines, and three body styles. Unfortunately, it will be only available for South American markets.
From the last announcement of the Marketing Director Rodrigo Fioco, pre-orders of the newest Chevrolet S10 have started to pile up a few days ago, and most of the customers demand the more-equipped versions.
It may come with a few innovations, but its arrival is not expected any earlier than usual. It should arrive in the last quarter. Higher price changes aren’t expected either. At this time, the opening price in Brazil goes around 125,000 BRL, which would be around 24.000 dollars according to exchange rates.
