By RAM truck fans rejoice because the manufacturer is bringing back the 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. When we talk about big trucks like the Ram 1500, we don’t think about ecology right away. Most of the giant trucks are actually gas guzzlers and don’t pay attention to our surroundings. Ram is trying to change things up with the 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. The manufacturer is trying to squeeze out a few more miles per gallon, this is also to the joy of many drivers.
Most trucks are working horses so you would expect to spend a ton of money on gas, but this might not be the case with the new Ram 1500. This should be easy on the planet and on your wallet. Ram 1500 is the second best-selling truck currently, and the manufacturer is trying to build upon that with the 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. Interior Changes
The 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel really needed an update on the inside. There were certain things lacking, and they needed fixing in order to meet the driver’s requirements. Ram 1500 has one of the most comfortable cabins. They are 50.5 cubic feet which are still less than Chevy or GMC. But still roomy enough for five people to sit comfortably. There is much need for some exquisite materials. Leather is a must-have, but we are not sure if it will be available on the basic trims. Also, it is almost certain to increase the price. But Ram shouldn’t save money on things like making the interior more comfortable and better.
The dashboard might go all-digital, after all this is a new age and analog speedometers are quite ancient. On the most basic trim, we have vinyl seats, a telescoping steering wheel, cruise control and we are able to start the truck with a push of a button. There is more than enough leg and headroom, so passengers can sit comfortably. We are not sure which infotainment system will be available but on the higher trims, we are informed about a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen. This will control music, air conditioning, pretty much anything connected to an electrical motor. The surround system could be branded on the higher models, perhaps JBL or a similar company. In terms of connectivity, we can expect the industry standard, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Bluetooth.
Satellite navigation is also integrated into the car, with the ability to answer calls hands-free. This way you don’t have to purchase external hands-free devices. The speaker system is made out of 10 speakers. It will have rear and front parking sensors to ensure parking without a drop of sweat. Automatic wipers and automatic high beams are a great addition to relieve drivers of some duty and save their lives. We are not sure about a particular driving aid system that can add to safety, but RAM will probably invest in a top-of-the-line one.
Cosmetic Upgrades
Although the 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel is a carryover model, we can still expect some changes on the exterior of this big truck. We can look forward to Ram making it even more modern and aggressive, even though there was a remodel a few years back. Expect the truck to be less blocky with more angles and a meaner madder look to it. The overall design of the car will be stronger, sturdier, and more attractive. After all, nobody wants a weak pickup truck that is going to break down in the middle of hauling cargo. The vehicle has the longest wheelbase in the class, with 114,5 inches, which is a bit more than its competitors Chevy Silverado 1500 and Ford F-150.
Expect huge bumpers, both front, and back. But they will also be made of higher quality and planet-saving material. The grille has received an uplift as well. It is a bit wider. This improves air circulation which will further allow this workhorse to be pushed to its limits. There weren’t any overheating problems that we know of, but if you can make it better why not.
As far as colors are concerned, the truck will have black bumpers with vivid coloring on other body parts. The wheels are going to be 20-inch chrome. This will turn some heads on the road for sure. Also, they are made of aluminum which shaves off weight and improves power to weight ratio, which is always a good thing in a performance truck. The 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel will be available in the 4×4 Crew Cab option, with adjustable air suspension to make the ride smooth. Quad cab and Crew Cab body styles will also be available.
Ram 1500 Ecodiesel Engine Specs
According to rumors, Ram is changing things up under the hood of the 2023 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. The upcoming Ram truck will be available with a V6 or V8 gasoline powertrain. However, we are most delighted to hear about an Ecodiesel variant of the pickup. There are claims that this engine is one of the most sturdy and reliable ones. It is a 3.0-liter V6 engine that can push the truck with 260 horsepower and spin up the wheels up to 480 pound-feet of torque.
The transmission will be an 8 speed automatic, this might be a weak spot since Ford F-150 and Silverado have 10-speed transmissions. We hope that payload capacity will be able to compete with Ford and GM, but there are no official statements yet. But this type of engine will surely save you some money on gas and also save the environment.

Although these are all just minor upgrades, we can’t wait for the truck to hit the store shelves. The price should be around $33000 for the basic trim and shoot up to $60 000 for the more expensive variants. The release date should be around fall 2022 hopefully.
